Flowers at Keukenhof.

Located about 20 miles (30 km) South West of Amsterdam, near Lisse (down the A4, turn
right somewhere past Schiphol) there's these beautiful flower gardens with lakes,
fountains and a windmill.

There's nothing much I can say about most of the photos...you just need to look at them
and it says everything that needs to be said!

These are especially for my grand-daughter Evie who appreciates pretty things like flowers.

Yes, I know I'm sexist, flowers for the girls and trains/cranes for the boys...

but Evie will stop to look at the flowers where the boys would stamp them into the ground
as they rush forward for a better view of a JCB digging a hole in the ground!

It's just the way it is...

There's this orchid house with beautiful flowers...but when I saw these I thought of ZZ Tops for some reason...
Here's a view from the top of the windmill...yes, I was allowed up there, it's open to the public.
You can walk out into the lake on the stepping stones but it looks risky to me. The swans look a bit vicious! I'm not sure what the 'blob' is supposed to be...it looks like someone's dropped a giant ice-cream!
